Please be aware that the Military Working Dog Center at Lackland Air Force Base has total authority regarding this public dog adoption program. Our organization, the Military Working Dog Foundation is a nonprofit organization and is not part of the military. We (our nonprofit) have no say whatsoever in who receives a dog. Also, please be aware that these dogs are not intended to be used for home protection.
