Military Working Dog Foundation, Inc. - Adoptions, Information, Resources

Military Working Dog Foundation, Inc.

The Military Working Dog Foundation was established to provide a resource of information to law enforcement agencies who have a requirement to obtain working dogs, as well as for the public who wish to adopt dogs that become available from the military and need a home.

In addition to assisting with the dissemination of information for prior military working dogs adoptions, it is our goal to law enforcement agencies and departments across the United States with information and assistance in obtaining a K-9 and when funds permit, to aid K-9 units with special gear and aid deployed military working dogs and their handlers with 'comfort' supplies.

Periodically, these military working dogs become available for distribution to law enforcement agencies and local police departments. Some working dogs are made available for adoption to the public because they are no longer capable of performing their military duties.

Part of our Mission is also to aid law enforcement agencies in the procurement of special support gear for their K-9's, that they could not otherwise afford.

Two NEW additions to our Mission are to:

1- Aid with the adoption of Rescued Dogs - especially German Shepherds, Labs and other 'detection dogs'.

2- Aid organizations that provide training and procurement of Service Dogs for persons with disabilities.
